Service Leadership Programs
Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world
one child and one community at a time.

K-Kids includes three programs (Kiwanis Kids, Bringing Up Grades (BUG), and Terrific Kids.) for elementary school students between the ages of 6 and 12 .
In each, the lessons of leadership and self-development are introduced through learning to plan, setting goals, working with others, and celebrating successes.
The programs are broken into three components: service, character education, and academic achievement. New England currently has 44 clubs.

Builders Club is the Kiwanis-sponsored Service Leadership Program geared toward junior high/middle school students.
New England Builders Clubs and their members are invited to participate in these annual Builders Club International contests:

All contest/award entries should be submitted to the district administrator by April 1. Complete rules and entry forms will be available soon on the Builders Club International web site. Many other helpful resources are available there as well.
All Builders Club advisors/members in New England are encouraged to post news about their clubs at the Kiwanis Builders Clubs of New England Facebook page.
There are currently 53 active Builders Clubs in New England, with more on the way.

Key Club International is Kiwanis' sponsored leadership program for high school students. Key Club is a student-led organization at the local club level, the District level, and the International level, with high school students actively leading the organization at all levels.

Lindy Falconer, District Chair
A weekend experience designed to empower emerging student leaders.
Key Leader is a leadership education weekend for high school students focusing on the concept of service leadership and five principles: integrity, growth, respect, community and excellence.
The weekend is casual and includes hands-on exercises; writing and reflection activities; cooperative team activities; physical challenges and more.
All adult chaperones have undergone background checks, and the weekend is run by a professional facilitator who has successfully completed a training course on the curriculum and who brings experience working with young people.
Key Leader will take place September 20-22, 2019 at Camp Calumet in Freedom, NH. Registration costs $250. Please consider sponsoring a student to attend!
