Welcome Greater Amesbury!

by NEDK on 01/30/18

The kids of  the greater Amesbury area scored a win with the chartering of the new Kiwanis Club of Greater Amesbury. The Formula Team gathered with charter members and other area Kiwanians to celebrate the opening of the new club. The official charter date was just before Governor Dan took office so Immediate Past Governor Bill also attended. The club will be led by President Ron Guilmette with assistance from Secretary Pam McGreevey, Treasurer Sheila Skane and 15 other community friends and leaders. The club is in Division 9 and will meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at 9 a.m. Congratulations and WELCOME to the Kiwanis Family!

Governor Dan on the Hunt for New Members

by NEDK on 01/16/18

In January, Governor Dan flew south, not for a vacation; instead, he spent time with International President, Jim Rochford, and the Eye of the Tiger Team,  opening THREE news clubs in just TWO DAYS!

Governor Dan said, "It was a great experience and successful as well.We opened 3 new clubs and organized all in 2 days. I worked on the new Kiwanis Club  Casselberry FL."

Pictured above (left) are Mary Weinaug, a former Kiwanian, that he and Kendra Skidmore signed up.

Who says young people don’t join Kiwanis?

There's a New Governor in Town

by NEDK on 10/01/17

On October 1, the Kiwanis organization leadership changes at the international level, district level, and in many cases the district board and club level. In the New England and Bermuda District of Kiwanis International, new governor, Daniel Bennett (right), took over the reigns from William Jenkins. Bennett was installed at the annual District Convention in August, and from the point began to finalize his team which became official today. Bennett is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Danvers, Massachusetts where he and his wife, Janet live. The banner shown will be displayed in the Danvers club through the 2017-2018 Kiwanis year.
